Project Description
Replacement of the existing roofs (approximately 300,000 square feet) at the original Terminal building, repairs at existing walls and curtainwalls to address current air and water leaks. Roofing, exterior wall and waterproofing consulting for a new expansion of 80,000 square feet at the east end of the terminal building. For both projects, EE was the engineer of record for the roofing and waterproofing scopes of work. EE also provided coordination between airport tenant finish out projects and the new roof systems. EE is currently developing a roofing manual for ABIA use in future tenant projects involving roof penetrations.
Status
- Construction of the Terminal/Apron Expansion was substantially complete in February 2019.

AISD Eastside Memorial Early College High School
Project Description
The subject project consisted of a new 173,000 GSF high school modeled on the school previously located at the same site, comprised of two buildings. Envelope related elements of the project included roof membrane, masonry and panelized cladding systems, and storefront and curtainwall glazing systems. Below grade waterproofing was present at Level 00 of the gymnasium.
Project/Relevant Services
EE design phase building envelope consulting services consisted of peer review of architectural and MEP drawings and specifications as the related to envelope components. In construction, EE provided services such as submittal reviews, assistance with contractor RFI’s, and observations of the building envelope work. EE also conducted air/water leakage testing and coordinated air barrier testing of the completed building.

Lago Vista Middle School
Project Description
The subject structure is a one-story structure featuring a stone masonry cladding and metal and low slope roofs. The project consists of replacing the existing metal roofing.
Engineered Exteriors provided building envelope consulting services, including performing a survey of the existing roof system, providing roof replacement construction documents, and performing peer reviews of other design team documents that impacted the roof replacement.
In construction, EE provided services such as submittal reviews, assistance with contractor RIF’s and observations of the roof replacement work.
Status
- Design completed March 2021.
